EEDUSIM is a European project with one clear mission: to empower healthcare educators by equipping them with the skills and tools to use simulation as a cornerstone of clinical training.
Through an innovative 80-hour course, the program combines theory, practice, and cutting-edge immersive technologies like Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), ensuring inclusive and multilingual access across borders.
Institutions and training centers that collaborate in practical and safe learning.
Despite its proven pedagogical value, simulation remains underutilized in healthcare education. Many educators lack the resources, training, or access to the right technology, which limits their ability to bring simulation into the classroom.
The challenge was clear: how to provide healthcare educators with practical competencies and accessible tools to integrate simulation sustainably into their teaching, bridging the gap between theory and clinical reality.
The answer came in the form of a comprehensive 80-hour program, divided into 8 units designed by a consortium of leading European experts in medical simulation. Each unit integrates theory, hands-on practice, and guided simulations, creating a robust and replicable curriculum.
As the project’s tech partner, MetaMedicsVR developed an immersive VR platform that allows learners to engage in realistic clinical cases, make critical decisions, and improve their skills in a safe, repeatable environment.
EEDUSIM goes beyond teaching what simulation is — it shows educators how to apply it effectively, practically, and sustainably in real academic settings.
“EEDUSIM represents a paradigm shift in healthcare education. It doesn’t just teach what simulation is, but how to integrate it practically and sustainably into real-world programs.”

Teachers gain the skills and confidence to bring simulation into their classrooms effectively.
Accessible in multiple languages, promoting equity and global collaboration.
Learners benefit from educators who are better equipped to provide realistic, hands-on training that prepares them for real-world practice.
